What is momo?
Momo is a Nepalese dumpling: a small parcel of dough wrapped around a spoonful of filling and then cooked. It is a much-loved street food and family snack across Nepal and in Nepali communities around the world, usually served with a tangy, spicy dipping sauce. On our menu we list it as "Dumpling (Momo)".
Traditionally the dough is rolled thin, filled and pleated closed. How the parcel is then cooked changes the character of the dish, which is why the menu offers several ways to order it.
